The thought manifests as the word; The word manifests as the deed; The deed develops into habit; And habit hardens into character; So watch the thought and its ways with care, And let it spring from love Born out of concern for all beings. ... As the shadow follows the body, as we think, so we become. - From the Dhammapada (Sayings of the Buddha)

Contemplation on Meditation

Well, after much reading and research it appears meditation is the first skill one needs to begin working on. So far there appears to be two primary techniques, Vipassana (also called Insight) and Metta (also called Loving-Kindness).
After experimenting with both it has become apparent that the practise is not as simple as it first appears (then nothing really is what it appears, is it?).
So off to try and find a course to aid in this regard. Watch for the outcome of that adventure here in the near future.
May all beings have Peace, Love, Safety, and Success.
